The Sabarmati Report has garnered much attention owing to its inspiration taken from one of the most shocking historical events of India. After the makers unveiled its teaser, it has set the stage with a powerful glimpse into a story that tackles one of the horrific incidents where India lost several lives. With Vikrant Massey heading the cast once again after his highly successful 12th Fail, the actor has noted an interesting connection between his characters in both films, pointing out the similarities that make each role resonate on a deep level.

For the unversed, Vikrant Massey essayed the role of an aspiring IPS officer and in The Sabarmati Report, he portrays a journalist, who gets to the bottom of what happened at the Godhra incident. Reflecting on these parallels, Vikrant shared, “Interestingly, my role in 12th Fail and The Sabarmati Report share unique similarities. Both the characters are intellectually driven and face challenges with everyday tasks. They both have a relatable kind of struggle and are highly ambitious. I tried to fit into both the characters and distinguish their traits according to the script’s demand.”

Speaking of the film, the makers unveiled another impactful poster ahead of its trailer release which has generated tremendous excitement, as fans are excited to see Vikrant Massey take on yet another intense role. Balaji Motion Pictures, a division of Balaji Telefilms Ltd presents, A Vikir Films Production, The Sabarmati Report, also starring Raashii Khanna, Ridhi Dogra, and an ensemble supporting cast, is directed by Dheeraj Sarna. Produced by Shobha Kapoor, Ektaa R Kapoor, Amul V Mohan and Anshul Mohan, the film will have a worldwide wide release by Zee Studios and it will be hitting cinema halls on November 15, 2024.
