Actor Vijay Varma has opened up about his experience working with Ranveer Singh, praising his collaborative spirit and approach to performance, as Dhurandhar: The Revenge continues its notable box office run. The film has reportedly crossed the ₹1000 crore Hindi net mark, marking a major commercial milestone.
In a recent interaction, Vijay described working with Ranveer as a smooth and immersive process. He said, “It was so seamless to work with him and he was fully immersed in the role. I saw the real Ranveer Singh at the wrap party when he was sweating from head to toe, dancing. But on the set he was Murad”, pointing to the actor’s ability to transform completely into his character during filming.
He further revealed that Ranveer was not only focused on his own role but was equally invested in the overall narrative and the arcs of other characters. “When he read the script, he felt emotionally very connected with this character and he shared his story with me. So he really wanted this character to shine and that’s such a lovely quality for any actor to have,” Vijay said. Highlighting what he sees as a rare trait among leading actors, Vijay added, “The other character should shine, you know, and he had that. And he’s been consistently having that quality. If you look at his work in 83, he shares the screen with so many other lovely actors.”
Referring to their current film, he continued, “In Dhurandhar, again, so many amazing actors and all of them have their moment, you know. He’s not an insecure actor.”
Vijay’s remarks offer insight into Ranveer Singh’s working style, underscoring a balance between intense character immersion and a willingness to support co-actors, even as the film continues to perform strongly at the box office.
