Triptii Dimri looked like a million bucks in her blue dress as she attended the launch of the song 'Mere Mehboob' from Vicky Vidya Ka Woh Wala Video on September 23 in Mumbai. She also set the stage on fire as she performed on the peppy track. She was then joined on the stage by Sachin Sanghvi, Jigar Saraiya, Priya Saraiya, Shilpa Rao, Sachet Tandon and director Raaj Shaandliyaa.
Vicky Vidya Ka Woh Wala Video song launch: Triptii Dimri rehearsed for ‘Mere Mehboob’ for 3 days while Rajkummar Rao rehearsed for just 2 MINUTES: “Had Rajkummar Rao not been rejected for Boogie Woogie, woh winner hoke hi aate”During an interaction with the media, Raaj Shaandilyaa said, “Dance is more difficult than acting. I didn’t expect the song to turn out to be so brilliant. With acting, you give the actors the script and explain to them what’s needed. But when it comes to dance, you have to do it yourself. Duplicate ho nahin sakte!”
He also praised choreographer, Ganesh Acharya saying, “The credit goes to Ganesh sir. Main toh set pe nachwa sakta hoon dialogues aur scenes ke saath. Ganesh sir’s greatness is known to all.”
Rajkummar Rao couldn’t make it to the event, but the team of the film spoke highly about him. Raaj Shaandilyaa raised laughs as he stated, “Triptii ko toh poora Hindustan dekh raha hai. She’s the national crush or should I say, international crush! But when I saw Rajkummar’s dance, it seemed like kisi ne battery laga ke chod diya hai usko. I was like, ‘Inke cell nikaalo kahin se’! The way he danced with all his energy was mind-blowing! Both he and Triptii danced really well.”
Triptii Dimri revealed, “By the way, Rajkummar danced without any rehearsals. I was rehearsing for 3 days. He said, ‘Main dekhta hoon. Aa ke kar loonga’. He came, rehearsed for 2 minutes and performed in front of the camera!”
Raaj Shaandilyaa further said, “I read in one of his interviews that he had auditioned for the dance TV show ‘Boogie Woogie’ (and got rejected). If he had been selected, toh woh winner hoke hi aate!”
Triptii Dimri also talked about her dancing inspiration saying, “I am a huge fan of Madhuri Dixit. I used to try to dance to her dance numbers but used to not reach her level (laughs). She has been my favourite, and she still is.”
