Following much anticipation, Sriram Raghavan's film, Merry Christmas, starring Katrina Kaif and Vijay Sethupathi, was released in the theatres on Friday, January 12, 2024. Shot in Hindi and Tamil languages, the film has been receiving rave reviews from critics and audiences. Katrina’s husband and actor Vicky Kaushal watched the film at the premiere on Wednesday and has been praising the entire team.

Taking to social media, Vicky Kaushal wrote, “#MerryChristmas everyone! So freaking proud of you love for how beautifully you have surrendered yourself to Sriram Sir’s masterful storytelling and to the complexities of ‘Maria’… her rawness, her mystery, her magic… all done with such honesty and nuance! And that dance… uff! This one’s truly your best work to date.”

Speaking of Vijay Sethupathi’s performance, he said, “#VijaySethupati Sir… don’t know how you bring that childlike innocence in your characters but it’s pure joy to watch you bring Albert alive.”

Produced by Tips Films and Matchbox Pictures, Merry Christmas is penned by Varun Grover. The Hindi version of the film stars Sanjay Kapoor, Vinay Pathak, Pratima Kannan and Tinnu Anand whereas the Tamil version has Radhika Sarathkumar, Shanmugaraja, Kavin Jay Babu, and Rajesh Williams in pivotal roles. Interestingly, Radhika Apte and Ashwini Kalsekar have special appearances in both versions of the movie.
