Varun Dhawan wax statue gets unveiled at the Madame Tussauds museum in Sydney : Bollywood News

Varun Dhawan, who has won hearts ever since his debut in 2012 with the Karan Johar directorial Student Of The Year, is prepping up for a series of unconventional projects in the coming year. And now adding another feather to his cap, the actor has become one of the first younger generation of stars to have a wax statue in the Madame Tussauds museums in Sydney, Australia.

Announcing this good news on social media, the official Instagram handle of Madame Tussauds shared a reel where fans across the globe are coming to the museum to visit the Bollywood section where the statue of Varun Dhawan is placed alongside the megastar of the industry, Shah Rukh Khan. In fact, the video also showcases how young female fans were seen clicking photos alongside the statue, which features the actor doing the hookstep of his popular song ‘Disco Deewane’ from his debut film Student Of The Year. We hear that the actor spent about five hours giving his perfect measurements to create the statue which also showcases the casual avatar of the Kalank actor in rugged jeans, red shirt and black jacket.

Expressing his happiness on the said platform, Varun too reposted the video on his Instagram story and penned a brief note saying, “Sydney, I'm in your city. Come check out whenever. I'll just be standing there for U guys”.

On the work front, Varun Dhawan is currently busy prepping for his first collaboration with filmmaker Atlee for Baby John, which is a remake of the 2016 action thriller Theri, starring Thalapathy Vijay. The actor also has the Indian spin off web-series Citadel – Honey Bunny featuring him alongside Samantha Ruth Prabhu in the pipeline for release. It is being said that the stage is also being set for the actor to return as Bhediya in the sequel to the 2022 horror-comedy franchise.
