Tamil filmmaker Atlee, who garnered immense recognition in the Indian film industry with his debut Bollywood project Jawan, has solidified his position as one of the most sought-after talents. The blockbuster mass entertainer, starring superstar Shah Rukh Khan in the lead role, is on track to become one of the highest-grossing films in the history of Indian cinema. Following the triumphant reception of Jawan, Atlee is gearing up for his second venture in Bollywood, collaborating with renowned actor Varun Dhawan. Recently, Varun Dhawan took to his official Instagram handle to extend birthday wishes to the celebrated director.
On Thursday, Atlee celebrated his 37th birthday, receiving warm wishes from numerous famous personalities in the South Indian film industry. Varun Dhawan, who will work under Atlee's direction in their upcoming Bollywood project, shared an exclusive photograph on his Instagram story. The picture captures a candid moment with Atlee playing with Varun's dog, Joey. Varun's heartfelt message in the Instagram story read, “Happy bday @atlee47 sir... Please enjoy your much deserved break now!!! Also, Joey says Happy bday Maccha.”
After wrapping up their collaboration on VD 18, Atlee is expected to reunite with Thalapathy Vijay for a Tamil film. The director, who has ambitious plans to produce films in both Bollywood and the Tamil industry, is also contemplating a sequel to Jawan with Shah Rukh Khan, along with a multi-starrer featuring both King Khan and Vijay in leading roles.
