Ranbir Kapoor and Alia Bhatt tied the knot on April 14 in an intimate ceremony at the former’s Bandra residence-Vaastu. The wedding festivities were attended by only family members and a few close friends. The couple also hosted a post-wedding party on Saturday evening, which saw actors Arjun Kapoor, Malaika Arora, Shah Rukh Khan, and Tara Sutaria among others in attendance. The post-wedding party, which was speculated to be a grand affair also turned out to be an intimate gathering.

On Monday morning, actor Tusshar Kapoor congratulated the newlyweds while talking to the media. “Very nice pictures, very natural. It was a private wedding which respect and my best wishes from the family because Chintu Ji was my father's close friend. So hearty wishes to them from the entire family and a very happy married life together,” he said.

Alia and Ranbir Kapoor dated for five years before they tied the knot. The couple started dating when they began working on their film Brahmastra. The film directed by Ayan Mukerji will be released in theatres on September 9.

Meanwhile, Tusshar Kapoor will next be seen in the film Maarrich alongside Naseeruddin Shah. In the film, Tusshar essays the role of a cop named Rajiv who lands up with a complicated double murder case, while Shah will be seen playing a priest. Actress Anita Hassanandani will also be essaying a small yet important role in the film.
