Luv Ranjan made three memorable box office directorial ventures, namely Pyaar Ka Punchnama (2011), Pyaar Ka Punchnama 2 (2015) and Sonu Ke Titu Ki Sweety (2018). All three films starred Kartik Aaryan and Nushrratt Bharuccha. But for his next directorial venture, Tu Jhoothi Main Makkaar, the filmmaker roped in Ranbir Kapoor and Shraddha Kapoor. Shraddha spoke about this aspect at the trailer launch of the film.
