Team Dhurandhar has officially unleashed its trump card. The track ‘Ez Ez’ (also referred to as ‘Easy’) is now out, after being launched yesterday as part of the film’s jukebox on YouTube and Amazon Music. If that wasn’t enough, the song was also performed live at the Dhurandhar music launch, where it proved to be an instant crowd favourite.
The track boasts a power-packed line-up: Diljit Dosanjh, Hanumankind and Shashwat Sachdev on vocals, music by Shashwat Sachdev, and lyrics by Hanumankind and Raj Ranjodh. The result is an edgy, high-energy banger that blends Punjabi vibe, razor-sharp rap and slick production — the kind of song designed to blow up on reels, clubs and playlists alike.
A major talking point around Dhurandhar is the unique association of Ranveer Singh and Diljit Dosanjh with the same project for the very first time, Ranveer as the lead actor of the film, while Diljit comes on board purely as the singer of ‘Ez Ez’. Nevertheless, fans of both stars are treating this as a dream crossover of energies — Ranveer on screen, Diljit on the mic.
By timing the song’s jukebox release and its live performance so close to the film’s arrival, Team Dhurandhar has smartly played an ace up its sleeve, sending the buzz through the roof just days before release.
Another highlight of the Dhurandhar music launch was the live performance of the song ‘Shararat’ by Madhubanti Bagchi and Jasmine Sandlas. Ranveer Singh was so mesmerised by the performance and in his trademark style, he came on stage. He requested Madhubanti Bagchi and Jasmine Sandlas to perform on ‘Shararat’ again, this time with him and Krystle D’Souza. This also gave confirmation that Krystle is a part of the dance number in the film.
Backed by Jio Studios and B62 Studios, Dhurandhar is directed by Aditya Dhar. It releases in cinemas on December 5.
