Emraan Hashmi, Sharad Kelkar, Zoya Afroz, Amruta Khanvilkar, director Neeraj Pandey, Tanya Bami, Head of Series, Netflix India, and others attended the trailer launch of Taskaree in Mumbai. Emraan has done several kinds of roles. Yet his 'serial kisser' image refuses to die down. This bit was spoken about at the event and it raised laughs.
A journalist asked Zoya Afroz, "Can a custom officer like Emraan Hashmi be controlled with a kiss?"
Zoya was stunned and started laughing. She said, "Unbelievable! I can't imagine such line of questioning. I don't know what to answer."
Emraan, who was equally amused, remarked, "When I am sitting on the dias, be prepared for the worst."
Sharad Kelkar joked, "Maine socha tha aisa. Lekin mujhe mauka nahin mila."
Zoya Afroz then said, "I think just being in the same frame as Emraan...he has enough charm. However, I'd like to point out something. Whenever I told anyone that I am working with Emraan Hashmi, everyone gave me a look and were like 'Hmm' (laughs)! There would be a lot of surprises for you. But yeh surprise shayad aap miss karenge."
Tanya Bami added, "It's a family friendly show."
Later, Neeraj Pandey was asked, "What was the most challenging thing about Taskaree?" He replied in jest, "To make a family show with Emraan was quite a challenge! Yet, we managed to pull that off.". Emraan Hashmi added, "I also controlled myself for it!"
Taskaree releases on Netflix on January 14.
