Tara Sutaria graces the runway as the showstopper for Mahima Mahajan at Lakmé Fashion Week

Mahima Mahajan’s “FIDA” collection at Lakmé Fashion Week in partnership with FDCI was aimed at the young, free spirited, unabashed women who love to make stylish statements wherever they go.

Mahima focussed on a vibrant colour card, which appeared in great profusion as she creatively wove a glamorous, melody of past, present, and future style directions for the coming season. The grand amalgamation of floral prints, silhouettes and stunning volumes moved gracefully in feminine, fluid forms on the runway. The entry of Sindoor red, sunset yellow and blush, brought a burst of visual excitement to the runway. The silhouettes offered organic drapes, when Mahima’s choice of organza, georgette and luxe silk floated in unison for the swirling, billowing, elegant creations.

Adding dazzle to the ensembles, Mahima was discreet as embroidered beads, reflective mirrors and gold sequins shimmered under the ramp lights.

While the collection was predominantly for women, Mahima added three men’s wear options that were colourful and flamboyant. The printed trouser, cropped inner and detailed shirt was a casual trio, while black, sheer shirt and trousers were topped with an impressive black, printed, trench coat with giant cuffs. But, the final shocking, pink suit with a sheer shirt and striking organza bows at the wrist and neck had a festive vibe about it.

The lovely Tara Sutaria made a grand entry to end Mahima Mahajan’s “FIDA” collection in a white, printed lehenga, matching strappy moulded choli and sheer dupatta all glittering with delicate embellishments.
