It’s only a brief wait before Karan Johar‘s Takht goes on floors. KJo, along with his team, is presently scouting through locations to pick the right places for the historical magnum opus. The director-producer, who has been sharing photos from Taj Mahal, announced that the location scouting in India came to an end.
He took to Instagram to share a photo of the gang in his stories, and wrote, “Takht INDIA location scout wraps! Now onto the next scout.” The team is now headed to Europe for another round of pre-production.
Takht was reportedly slated to go on floors by September last year, but the expensive pre-production took some time. The film revolves around the battle between Shah Jahan’s eldest son Dara Shikoh and third son Aurangzeb, to be played by Ranveer Singh and Vicky Kaushal respectively.
The shoot begins in February. It was slated to release this year tentatively, but given that it is going to be quite an extensive process, let’s wait and see if the release is pushed further!
