Suresh Oberoi reveals he was not aware of Vivek Oberoi’s relationship with Aishwarya Rai; says, “Ram Gopal Varma told me” : Bollywood News

Known for his performances in 90s films, Suresh Oberoi recently left his fans thrilled when he was seen in the Ranbir Kapoor starrer Animal. The actor opened up about his equations with people in the film industry and even revealed about how was unaware of one of the most popular relationships in Bollywood, which was his son Vivek Oberoi and Aishwarya Rai. For the unversed, Aishwarya Rai before becoming Aishwarya Rai Bachchan dated the Saathiya actor in the year 2003.

Talking to Lehren, Suresh Oberoi opened up about how he was blissfully unaware of several things around him including the relationship between Vivek Oberoi and Aishwarya Rai. “Most of the things I didn’t even know. Vivek never told me. Ramu (Ram Gopal Varma) told me. Before Ramu, somebody else told me. I had made him understand. Samjhaya tha mat karo (I had told him not to do).”

Furthermore, speaking about his relationship with Amitabh Bachchan, the veteran actor explained, “I was never a friend of his. I was his co-star. We had a relationship industry wise. My friendship was with Danny Mukul. Yes, Mr Bachchan invited me for his birthday but it was fine. And he doesn’t let people know about most of the things. But whenever we meet, we are really nice to each other.”

Suresh Oberoi also maintained that his relationship with Salman Khan and Salim Khan has remained the same, despite reports of Khan threatening Vivek when he was dating the former Miss World. “I was in relief in Vivek‘s case at that time and now also. Still we all meet each other very nicely. Whenever Salman Khan meets me, he hides the cigarette and then talks to me as a part of respect. I always tell Vivek to touch Salim ji’s feet. I also respect Salim Bhai. Things happened but my relationships are good enough,” concluded the star.

Directed by Sandeep Reddy Vaga, Animal, also starring Anil Kapoor, Rashmika Mandanna, and Bobby Deol in lead roles, released on December 1 in multiple languages.
