Sunny Singh has left a strong impression on the audience by playing characters like Titu in Kartik Aaryan and Nushrratt Bharuccha starrer Sonu Ke Titu Ki Sweety and Chauka in Pyaar Ka Panchnama. The actor has given versatile performances and is now all set for his first-ever role in a mythological film, Adipurush, where he plays the iconic character of Lakshman. The makers of the film dropped a new poster of Adipurush featuring Sunny Singh, Prabhas and Kriti Sanon on the occasion of Ram Navami.

Speaking about the feeling of essaying the role of Lakshman, Sunny Singh expressed, “When I was offered the role, I was elated to be able to bring ‘Ramayan’, a story that resides in the hearts of our nation. Understanding the huge responsibility, I have worked really hard to portray Lakshman. The process has been wonderful, and I hope audiences, especially the youth, watches and pour in their love for our film.”

Sunny Singh had earlier opened up on the preparation he had done for Adipurush, which is directed by Om Raut. He had said, “As a child, I had watched ‘Ramayan’ along with my parents,” He further added, “I didn't focus much on the characters but the story was enough to keep me invested. Now that I'm going to essay the character of Lakshman, I have re-watched the whole ‘Ramayan’ with complete focus on Laxman which helped me learn about his mannerisms, body language, and a lot more about the clothes, accessories they put on.”

Adipurush is produced by T- Series, Bhushan Kumar & Krishan Kumar, Om Raut, Prasad Sutar and Rajesh Nair of Retrophiles and will be released globally on June 16, 2023.

Apart from Adipurush, Sunny will also be seen in films like The Virgin Tree and Luv Ki Arrange Marriage.
