Having entertained audiences with diverse characters, veteran actor Sumukhi Pendse is all set to bring alive yet another powerful character in Sony Entertainment Television’s upcoming drama Pukaar – Dil Se Dil Tak. Starring Sayli Salunkhe, Abhishek Nigam and Anushka Merchande, the show will feature Sumukhi Pendse as the antagonist, Rajeshwari Maheshwari, who is the head of the Maheshwari family.

Speaking of her character, Rajeshwari Maheshwari is a powerful figure, wielding a lot of influence over her family and their business empire. With a manipulative and domineering manner, she will go to any length to protect her family's legacy. Her unshakeable pride and egoistic nature only strengthen her conviction in her invincibility. Elaborating on her role and sharing her excitement about playing the antagonist, Sumukhi Pendse said, “Playing Rajeshwari in Pukaar - Dil Se Dil Tak seems like taking on a role like Jaya Bachan Ji's character in Rocky Aur Rani Ki Prem Kahani. I am excited to play this character not only because it is multilayered but also because I get to portray an enterprising and strong-headed woman. Rajeshwari's manipulative personality will clash with the aspirations and goals of her loved ones, resulting in interesting confrontations, twists, and power struggles in this riveting drama. Set against the backdrop of Jaipur, Pukaar - Dil Se Dil Tak follows the lives of a mother, Saraswati, and her two daughters – Vedika and Koel, who are tragically separated by a wicked scheme. As fate would have it, the paths of Saraswati, Vedika, and Koel will unknowingly converge once again under unexpected circumstances and together, they must confront the forces who tore their family apart.
