Anupamaa actor Sudhanshu Pandey, known for his role as Vanraj Shah, recently shared a nostalgic memory from his modelling days. In an interview with Siddharth Kannan, Sudhanshu revealed that Aishwarya Rai Bachchan once praised him during his early career, calling him the next super model. Reflecting on this, he said, "Everything was overwhelming for me, and I am thankful to God."

Sudhanshu's journey began in Nainital, where he spotted an advertisement seeking a model for a Bombay-based magazine. Despite feeling it was a long shot, he pursued the opportunity, leading to a life-changing trip to Delhi at just 18 years old. His parents supported his ambitions, and soon he was asked to do his first shoot, marking the start of his modelling career.

His efforts paid off when he landed a job in a suitings campaign, earning Rs 25,000 for his first work in 1994—a significant amount for him at the time. Sudhanshu recalled, "I had never seen so much money and was very surprised." This initial success led to further opportunities, and his first print ad became a centre spread in Time magazine, propelling him to the top of the modelling industry.

His talent did not go unnoticed, with legends like Milind Soman praising his looks and calling them perfection. During this meteoric rise, Sudhanshu also heard Aishwarya Rai Bachchan call him the next super model, an endorsement that solidified his status in the industry. By 1995, he had won the best model award, setting the stage for his later success in acting, including his prominent role in Anupamaa.
