Sudha Murthy, the renowned author, philanthropist, and chairperson of Infosys Foundation, is all set to make an appearance on the popular comedy talk show, The Kapil Sharma Show. The news has excited fans of both the celebrated author and the show. She will be seen in a fun-filled episode with Bollywood actress Raveena Tandon and producer Guneet Monga; the channel has already started dropping promos. In one of the latest promo, Sudha Murthy recalled an anecdote about how she was once referred to as a ‘cattle-class person’ despite having a business-class ticket.

In the video, Archana Puran Singh mentioned an incident when the business-class passengers asked Sudha Murthy to stand in economy class. In response, she agreed and explained, “Chaar paanch saal pehle main salwar kameez pehni thi aur business class ka ticket tha mere paas. Main us queue mein khadi thi, toh unko laga ki salwaar kameez pehen liya toh didi hai, behenji hai… ‘Arre cattle-class log hai. Unko kya pata hai economy ke logon ko business class mein aane diya.’ Main jaake unko puch liya, ki what is cattle-class (Four-five years ago, I had worn a salwar suit and I had a business class ticket. I was in the queue, getting ready for my flight, when a few people made assumptions about my ‘class’ and went on to address me as ‘cattle class.’ I went up to them and asked what they meant by cattle-class person).”

“Class maane apni kaam mein shraddha rakhe aur accha kaam karte hai na woh class log hote hai. Paise mein nahi hai, ki economy class maane kam class (Those who do their work passionately are ‘classy people’).”

Then she cited Mother Teresa as an exemplary individual and expressed her admiration for Kapil Sharma, calling him the epitome of class in comedy. Sudha Murthy, a renowned author and wife of Infosys co-founder Narayan Murthy, shared her thoughts on the show.
