Just earlier this year, JP Dutta expressed his desire to make yet another war film based on real life and he later took everyone by a surprise by announcing the war drama Paltan. Like most of his films, this one too will see several actors coming together and recently Sonu Sood gave us a glimpse of this ‘paltan’ [group] which is a part of the film.
Readers may be aware that, Paltan stars Arjun Rampal, Gurmeet Choudhary, Harshvardhan Rane of Sanam Teri Kasam fame, Siddhanth Kapoor, Luv Sinha, Rohit Roy among others. The film which yet again throws light on the life of military officials is based on the Indo-China war of 1962.
A few hours ago, their co-actor Sonu Sood took to Instagram to share a picture from the get-together that was held along with the cast, their family and also their director-producer JP Dutta and his family. Captioning it as ‘family’ the actor added, “Together we make a Family .. n every Family has a story to tell. Welcome to ours #paltan @siddhanthkapoor @nidhiduttaofficial @rampal72 @guruchoudhary @harshvardhanrane @luvsinha #jpdutta @bindiyadutta6 @rohitroy500.”
Earlier, J.P. Dutta had spoken about how the topic is relevant in current teams owing to the strenuous relationship between India and China as the latter emerging as a superpower is trying to claim rights over regions like Ladakh. He had also asserted that he has acquired the support of Central Government for the film.
On the other hand, Paltan recently faced a major setback when their leading man Abhishek Bachchan backed out of the project after the film went on floor. He was replaced by Harshvardhan Rane.
