This comes after Sonam Kapoor Ahuja's wedding lehenga was also given a special display at the same venue.
Opting for a minimalist yet vibrant ivory lehenga, the actress's Haldi look was styled by renowned stylist Ami Patel. Ami Patel added her incredible fashion acumen to Athiya's ensemble and chose a gorgeous ivory cotton Anarkali. Her cotton anarkali includes heavy gota embroidery over the collar and borders, as well as intricate handmade gold gota work throughout the garment, which gives it a royal appearance. She accessorised her anarkali suit with a garara and dupatta with gota embroidery in a similar tone.
Her elaborate hand-embroidered pure cotton outfit required approximately 2000 man-hours to complete using the time-honoured method of manually crumpling and folding the Gota to produce the mango designs. Her clothing makes considerable use of gokhru gota, which are ribbons with metal strip wefts and fibre warps that are pinched at regular intervals to create a certain aesthetic.

NMACC’s inauguration ceremony was attended by some of the biggest stars from the entertainment industry.
