Sonali Bendre is back in the Bay and all set to get back to work! She is taking it slow, one step at a time and is keeping up with her resilience, inspiring other cancer survivors. She was in New York for her treatment and is back determined to start afresh. After a series of chemotherapy sessions and treatment, she is finally home and is very grateful about it. Sonali's best friends include Sussanne Khan and Gayatri Joshi who were there for her in New York who helped her pull through. Sonali spoke to media recently and shared an interesting incident about how Bollywood actually helped her cope up with cancer. She said that while her chemo sessions were on, she lost all her hair and would constantly rub hands over her bald pate. Her friends pointed that out to her and she joked that she was pulling off a Ranveer Singh from his hit song ‘Tattad Tattad’! It is inspiring how Bendre resorted to humour in this difficult situation and Ranveer indirectly responsible for making her smile!
We wonder how the Gully Boy actor will react to this! Back home, Sonali is just taking it slow and soaking it all in. She has not left her house for two months and is not in a hurry to do so because she wants to soak it all in and make up for her absence.
Sonali Bendre said that her technique was to use humour go deal with the difficult situation and thought of her time spend in New York as one of her life altering experiences. Along with Sonali, Tahira Kashyap too has been setting an example of how to fight the dreaded C with aplomb!
