Somy Ali expresses support for Salman Khan amid firing incident; says, “No one deserves what he went through” : Bollywood News

Actor Somy Ali, who was in a relationship with Salman Khan in the 1990s, has previously spoken about their rocky relationship, but today, following the shooting event outside Salman's house, she has spoken in Salman's defence. Somy said that “no one deserves what he went through” and said that she would never wish that upon anybody.

In an interview with Hindustan Times, Somy told, “I won’t wish upon my enemy what he has been through. All said and done, no one deserves what he went through. My prayers are with him. No matter what has happened, let bygones be bygones. I would never ever wish something like that to happen to anyone, be it Salman, Shah Rukh or my neighbour,”

She added, “I would never want Salman or his family to endure any pain, and I wish him all the best. When my mother and I learned about this incident, we were shocked. We pray that he is not harmed. He and his family always have our blessings. Everyone is image-conscious, be it you, me, Salman, Shah Rukh or anybody. So, he did whatever he felt was right on his part. But currently, my focus is on what he is going through. Nobody deserves what he is experiencing right now.”

In April, two men shot five bullets at Salman’s Bandra residence. The men then fled the scene. The Mumbai police have already arrested five of the accused persons in the caase.

Somy Ali earlier said that she was a huge fan of Salman Khan before becoming a movie star and would carry his photo in her wallet. She subsequently told Zoom that they split up because he cheated on her. She had also opened up about his affairs and shared on social media, “He would not acknowledge me as his girlfriend in public for years and when he finally did he would insult me in front of his friends and berate me nonstop.” Somy later deleted these posts.
