Sidharth Malhotra urges people to support families of Indian soldiers

Sidharth Malhotra inspired the world with his remarkable performance as Captain Vikram Batra in the film Shershaah. He shared his childhood memories of coming from an army family as well as his recent experience while portraying Captain Vikram Batra's journey on screen. He shared his belief that the Indian Armed Forces are the best in the world and the reason why we enjoy our freedom and democracy.

Sidharth Malhotra spoke about the importance of this initiative launched by the Indian Government and urged every Indian to support the families of our soldiers killed or grievously injured in the line of duty during military operations.

Most recently, Sidharth has spoken to Bollywood Hungama about his film, Shershaah. In the rapid-fire segment, when asked the best thing that came out of Shershaah, the actor said, “I mean, the most emotional and the thing that I was very nervous about was to see Captain Vikram Batra and his family be happy and proud and give me their blessings after seeing the film.”

Shershaah, directed by Vishnu Vardhan, is a story of valour, love, and sacrifice, inspired by the life of Captain Vikram Batra (PVC). The film celebrates his valiant spirit and honors his invaluable sacrifice in the Kargil War of 1999. Staying true to his codename ‘Shershaah’, Captain Batra’s valiant fight and ultimate sacrifice were instrumental in India’s victory.

On the work front, Sidharth Malhotra will be seen in Ajay Devgn-starrer Thank God, which also features Rakul Preet Singh. The film releases on October 25, 2022. He also has Mission Majnu with Rashmika Mandanna, Yodha with Disha Patani and Raashii Khanna and Rohit Shetty’s Indian Police Force with Shilpa Shetty, and Vivek Oberoi. All projects are slated for 2023 release, respectively.
