Veteran actor Anupam Kher took to his social media handle and shared the first look poster of his upcoming film, titled Shiv Shastri Balboa on Friday. The poster also features his co-star Neena Gupta along with an adorable pug dog. The intriguing poster, shows Anupam trying to get a lift, with Neena sitting beside him with luggage. The two appear to be a married couple stranded in the middle of a village while cows graze in the background.

“Presenting the first look of my film #ShivShastriBalboa!”, the actor wrote in the caption. He also mentioned that an acclaimed Indian American director, Ajayan Venugopalan, has helmed the film. The film will also feature Jugal Hansraj, Nargis Fakhri, and The Family Man fame Sharib Hashmi.

Interestingly, in July 2021, the 67-year-old actor shared three posters of the film, all of which feature him in a white vest. While the first poster features him sitting on a seat, and two foreigners standing behind him, the second poster features Kher with Gupta. Meanwhile, in the third still, Kher sitting on the seat alone. Captioning the multiple-photo post, he introduced the film as “a fascinating tale of survival of an Indian in a small town in America."

His caption further read, “Delighted to be working with the gorgeous and brilliant Neena Gupta and a very interesting and talented international cast and crew!! More details and surprises to follow!! Jai Ho.” Meanwhile, Gupta also shared the same post on her Instagram and penned, “Very excited to be working with Anupam Kher after so many years.”
