Veteran actress Sharmila Tagore recently shared heartfelt praise for her granddaughter, actor Sara Ali Khan, during a podcast conversation with her daughter Soha Ali Khan, offering rare insights into the qualities she most admires in the young star. When asked what she has learned from the Kedarnath actress, Sharmila highlighted Sara’s grounded nature and effortless ease with people.
Speaking warmly, Sharmila described Sara as someone who strikes a fine balance between friendliness and restraint. “I found her very spontaneous, very friendly without being very over-friendly. She is very welcoming,” she noted insisting that she never oversteps boundaries, adding that her welcoming nature leaves a lasting impression on those around her.
The legendary actor also recalled observing Sara’s professionalism firsthand on film sets and expressed, “The way she conducts herself so professionally—like I have seen her on film sets,” and admired her for carrying herself with maturity and discipline, qualities she believes are essential for longevity in cinema.
What stood out most for Sharmila, however, was Sara’s humility despite belonging to a privileged background. “I am very proud and happy that, despite coming from an actor’s family, she is so down to earth and well behaved,” she said and also added how she manages to balance it despite navigating the pressures and privileges that come with her lineage.
The conversation offered fans a glimpse into the bond shared across generations of the Tagore–Ali Khan family. As Sara continues to carve her own space in Bollywood with roles that balance relatability and range, Sharmila Tagore’s remarks served as a strong endorsement of her granddaughter’s values, professionalism and upbringing.
On the work front, Sara Ali Khan was last seen in the much-loved Metro In Dino. She is currently gearing up for the release of Pati Patni Aur Woh Do, which also stars Ayushmann Khurrana, Rakul Preet Singh and Wamiqa Gabbi in key roles.
