On Thursday, actor Shahid Kapoor shared a video of himself practising cricket for his upcoming film Jersey. Dressed in sports gear playing cricket, the actor gave a glimpse into his mornings on the set of Jersey.

In the video, Shahid can be seen working on his cover drive. “Early mornings.. wake up with drive,” he captioned his post. The actor got a compliment from Indian cricketer Suresh Raina himself who seemed pretty impressed by Kapoor's cover drive skills. “@shahidkapoor superb cover drive man ! With great head position best wishes always,” he commented.

Responding to the comment, Kapoor wrote, "@sureshraina3 my man. Coming from you. It made my day week and year."

Meanwhile, Shahid Kapoor recently wrapped the Uttarakhand schedule of the film. Announcing the wrap of the film, Shahid had shared a selfie three days ago. “It’s a wrap on another schedule of #jersey . In such times to be able to pull this off really felt like a blessing. Feel proud of the team for powering through and being so positive,” he wrote.

Jersey is the official Hindi remake of the Telugu namesake and stars Mrunal Thakur in the lead role opposite Shahid, marking their first on-screen collaboration.
