Shah Rukh Khan starrer Pathaan gets a shoutout from Japanese game designer Hideo Kojima: “It was a MAD MAX level of energy” : Bollywood News

Amid the much anticipation around Jawan which is releasing in theatres in three days, Shah Rukh Khan, Deepika Padukone and John Abraham starrer Pathaan released in Japan on September 1, 2023. As per Bollywood Hungama, Pathaan collected Rs. 543.05 crore in India in its lifetime. The film was released on Prime Video following its theatrical run. The film has received a thumbs-up from famous Japanese game designer Hideo Kojima. The designer has called the movie ‘pure entertainment’.

Taking to his X account, formerly called Twitter, Hideo wrote a long wrote which read, “Too busy these days, mentally and physically exhausted. Need to refill my high-octane tank. So, I saw the Indian movie “PATHAAN" in IMAX! Well, it was awesome! I was numb! It opened my blood vessels! It was a MAD MAX level of energy! After seeing this, I think I’ll be able to hold it for a while! Mission Impossible, 007, RRR, John Woo, the whole shebang! A few Metal Gear elements too! There was applause after the screening. Highly recommended! If you don’t see it, you’re missing out! Movies these days think too hard. This is pure entertainment film! It’s still hot, so watch this movie and blow off the summer heat! I’ll buy the BD when it comes out, and I want the OST too.”

Additionally, he said, “Shah Rukh Khan and Deepika Padukone are both too good. They're so cool. But still, King. Sometimes he looks like Okada-kun.”

Helmed by Siddharth Anand, Pathaan also stars Dimple Kapadia and Ashutosh Rana. The film was released in Indian cinemas on January 25, 2023, shattering box office records.

Meanwhile, Shah Rukh Khan is gearing up for Jawan which is a Red Chillies Entertainment presentation, directed by Atlee, produced by Gauri Khan, and co-produced by Gaurav Verma. The film stars Vijay Sethupathi, Nayanthara, Sunil Grover, Sanya Malhotra, Priyamani and Ridhi Dogra. The film also has a special appearance of Deepika Padukone. The film will be released worldwide in theatres on September 7th, 2023, in Hindi, Tamil, and Telugu languages.
