Superstar Shah Rukh Khan expressed his condolences on Monday following the sad demise of the legendary Indian spinner, Bishan Singh Bedi. In a heartfelt message shared on the social media platform X (formerly known as Twitter), SRK paid tribute to the cricketer's remarkable life and the profound influence he had on many.
“Growing up our lives are moulded by the spirit, the gusto and sheer grace of people who we see and experience around us. Mr Bishan Singh Bedi was one of them,” Shah Rukh Khan remarked. He extended his wishes for peace to the departed soul, saying, “May God bless his soul and thank you Sir for teaching us so much about sports and life. You will be missed immensely. RIP.”

Bishan Singh Bedi, considered one of the finest left-arm spinners in the history of world cricket, passed away on Monday at the age of 77, leaving a remarkable legacy in his wake. Born in Amritsar, the accomplished spinner, who represented Delhi in domestic cricket, concluded his illustrious career with a staggering tally of 1,560 wickets in first-class cricket, surpassing all other Indian bowlers.
Bedi was known for his subtle variations in his bowling that helped him confuse and outwit batsmen. He was also a very good fielder and was a great asset to the Indian team. Apart from his international cricket career, Bedi was also a big name domestically. He played for Delhi in the Ranji Trophy and led them to titles in 1978, 1979, and 1980, 1981.
The sports world, as well as fans of cricket and individuals across the nation, mourn the loss of an iconic figure who left an indelible mark on the sport of cricket.
