It's superstar Shah Rukh Khan's birthday today. Unlike every year, this year was different. Amid the pandemic, the actor had requested fans to not gather outside his Bandra residence, Mannat, in Mumbai. Instead, his fans took the celebrations virtual and celebrated his 55th birthday with full pomp and show hosting SRK quizzes, donation drives amongst other things.

Acknowledging the fan's efforts, Shah Rukh Khan posted a video to thank everyone for pouring love on social media.
"Hi everybody. This is to thank you for all the wonderful wishes that I have been getting on social media, how much love you guys are spreading," he said in the video.

He mentioned a couple of fan clubs and said, “To all of you, you know who I mean, all of you, all the loving fans. More than wishing me on my birthday, I know some of the work you boys and girls have done on my birthday, giving your time and resources to people who are in need in these times. The PPE kits that you have been donating, the blood donations that have been happening, going out, and helping people everywhere – I think that’s the most wonderful work we can do because you can’t be a lover boy like me without spreading love. Thank you all of you for spreading the love – from far, from near, from whatever resources we have. Thank you so much for your wonderful wishes. I love you all and Inshallah, next year, we will all get together and have a bigger and better party. 56 is better than 55 and we will have lots of fun. I miss you all and a big hug to everyone. Keep doing the good work, god bless you all," SRK said in the video.

On the work front, Shah Rukh Khan will reportedly begin shooting for Siddharth Anand's next Pathan later this month. The film stars Deepika Padukone and John Abraham. This will be his first project since 2018's Zero.
