SRK invited his fans to a restaurant for dinner after wrapping up Atlee's Jawan in Chennai.

In June 2022, Red Chillies Entertainment announced Jawan, a massive action entertainer, starring Shah Rukh Khan and helmed by director Atlee Kumar. The actor had also shared the first teaser and poster of the film which created quite an uproar amongst fans. SRK has been stationed in Chennai for a while to complete major shoot portions of Jawan. He shot for a month with Vijay Sethupathi and Nayanthara before returning to Mumbai on Sunday. Now that he wrapped up the schedule, the actor entertained his fans in Chennai and invited them to dinner.

The actor has a dedicated large fan following and one of them is Sudhir Kothari who runs a fan club on Twitter with the handle @SRKCHENNAIFC which has almost 150k followers. Kothari, who has met SRK several times, requested the actor’s team to ask if there could be an opportunity to organize a meet and greet with a few fan club members and SRK. “I reached out to Pooja Dadlani ma’am and Karuna (Badwal) ma’am who manage sir. They spoke to sir, who said that he would like to meet us once he finishes the shoot," he told News18.

He added, “After a few days I got a call that sir will meet us on October 8 which was the day when he wrapped up the Chennai schedule of Jawan. While we are a big family, it was difficult to select the 20 people who would be meeting Shah Rukh Khan. The decision was taken on the basis of how active they are through the years. We do a lot of charity, fans shows and other philanthropic work in the name of SRK and it is on this basis, we decided to do the selection.”

The report further stated, “For the meeting, sir had called us to a five-star hotel which was in the outskirts of Chennai. We were asked to reach at around 5:30 pm. He had booked two rooms for us and also took care of all our requirements. A manager along with two butlers were allotted to us and we could order anything from the menu. Ravi (Singh, Shah Rukh Khan’s bodyguard) sir along with Pooja ma’am and Karuna ma’am took great care of us.”

Red Chillies Entertainment presents Jawan, starring Shah Rukh Khan in the lead and produced by Gauri Khan. Jawan will be released on June 2, 2023, in five languages making it Shah Rukh Khan’s first Pan India film. The film stars Vijay Sethupathi, Nayanthara and Sanya Malhotra.
