Veteran actress Shabana Azmi celebrates her 74th birthday today, and to mark the occasion, actress Urmila Matondkar shared a heartwarming tribute on social media. Urmila, who first worked with Shabana in the 1983 classic Masoom, posted a series of nostalgic pictures on Instagram, including a behind-the-scenes shot from the film. In Masoom, Shabana played Indu Malhotra, while Urmila portrayed her daughter, Pinky.

Decades of Friendship and Collaboration
The heartfelt post also showcased the depth of their connection. Urmila noted, “Nothing can precisely describe the bond that I share with you, which both of us have so carefully woven over almost 4 decades and tremendously cherished.” In addition to Masoom, the two actresses have collaborated on films such as Tehzeeb, Karm, and Bhavna, strengthening their personal and professional relationship over the years.

Most recently, Shabana Azmi was seen in Ghoomer alongside Saiyami Kher and Abhishek Bachchan, and Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahaani, starring Ranveer Singh and Alia Bhatt. Both films were released in 2023. Her next project, Bun Tikki, will feature her alongside Abhay Deol and Zeenat Aman.
