Saurabh Shukla recalls how he exchanged drinks with Ranbir Kapoor in Leh; reveals that he shared rum worth ‘Rs. 30,000’ with the star 30000 : Bollywood News

Seasoned actor Saurabh Shukla recently was seen reminiscing about the generous side of Ranbir Kapoor. In the process, he opened up about how he shared drinks with the star when they were shooting together in Leh. It seems that the two actors bonded really well on the sets of the Yash Raj Films’ period drama Shamshera which was extensively shot in Leh. During his recent interaction, the Jolly LLB actor recalled the incident where he shared rather expensive rum with the Rockstar actor and the two even ended up finishing the bottle.

Recalling the memory during an episode of Unfiltered with Samdish, Saurabh Shukla also mentioned that this drink was introduced to Ranbir Kapoor by his Brahmastra co-star Nagarjuna. He said, “I have had a rum which costs Rs 30,000 a bottle. Woh mujhe Ranbir Kapoor ne pilayi thi, usko Nagarjuna ne pilayi thi (Ranbir Kapoor made me drink it, and it was Nagarjuna who made Ranbir drink). It wasn’t a full bottle, a quarter was not in it when Ranbir had opened it.”

Their drinking session, however, did not end there. They continued wherein Shukla also mentioned that Ranbir too shared Old Monk (popular Indian rum brand) with him. “No, as in, he must have drank from it. I was in Leh so he asked me, ‘Sir what are you drinking?’ I said Old Monk, so he said I will make you drink this. Dono ne khoob pi (We drank a lot). But then it got over, so he said, ‘Sir thodi kam pad gayi’ (Sir I think it wasn’t enough). Then I asked him if he will have Old Monk, he said yes and then maine usko Old Monk pilayi (and then I made him drink Old Monk),” he added.
