“Sara Ali Khan has a lot of Saif Ali Khan’s wittiness,” says Murder Mubarak director Homi Adajania : Bollywood News

The trailer of filmmaker Homi Adajania’s Murder Mubarak recently released, and it succeeded in getting a thumbs up from the audience. The film has a long list of ensemble cast of Pankaj Tripathi, Karisma Kapoor, Sara Ali Khan, Vijay Varma, Aditya Roy Kapur, Sanjay Kapoor, Dimple Kapadia, Tisca Chopra, Kunal Kemmu, among others.

Ajajania has worked with Saif Ali Khan in projects like Being Cyrus and Cocktail and the two share a very good bond. During the trailer launch of Murder Mubarak, the filmmaker said that during the making of the film, he realized that there are similarities between Saif and his daughter Sara, who plays a pivotal role in the film.

Adajania said, “Sara has a lot of Saif's wittiness. He thinks really fast and he’s extremely funny. And why I've loved working with Saif also has been because I think we are pretty much on the same wavelength. We don’t have to complete sentences. We get each other's horribly bizarre dark humour and I found that it was the same with Sara.”

He added, “We got each other, there’s no explaining to do. We didn’t have to know each other for that long. So, I think it’s the sharpness of Saif; she’s a very smart girl.”

Murder Mubarak is all set to stream on Netflix from March 15.
