Sara Ali Khan and Sushant Singh Rajput’s Kedarnath released this Friday and boy, Sara is already a favourite amongst masses. With her one film, she has made a mark on her fans already and is being praised for her crackling performance and the way she held on to her ground despite being newcomer. Sara spoke EXCLUSIVELY to Bollywood Hungama about her first film, the communal tension surrounding it and also her take on Love Jihad. Sara was asked if she gets bothered by the numbers her film collected. She admitted that she was not so much of a box office person but she has begun to understand its nitty gritties.
Sara Ali Khan says, “I don’t understand numbers too much, I don’t understand box office too much but am beginning to understand that higher the number, more people will come to watch your film.” She said, “The reason you do films is to impact the audiences. Larger number of people come to watch the movie, larger the impact you get to have on people. So, yes box office matters to me.”
Sara will be seen next in Simmba with Ranveer Singh. The movie will release on December 28th and while Kedarnath was like a litmus test for her to see if she is accepted by people, Simmba will prove her worth as a commercial actress. All eyes are on her and some great things are expected by this youngest Khan in the business right now!
