Over time, I’ve learned to disconnect and let go once a film is out, allowing it to belong to the audience.”

Zee5’s latest film, Mrs, an official remake of Jeo Baby's 2021 Malayalam drama The Great Indian Kitchen, delves into societal expectations placed on women after an arranged marriage. The film explores themes of patriarchy, gaslighting, and gender roles, resonating deeply with audiences. Many viewers have even described it as a “social horror.”

Sanya Malhotra plays the lead role of Richa in Mrs, while Nishant Dahiya portrays her husband, Diwakar. The film also features veteran actor Kanwaljit Singh in a pivotal role.
