Nana Patekar, Kubbra Sait, Kranti Prakash Jha, director Prakash Jha, producer Dishaa Jhaa along with Girish Prabhu (Head - Amazon Ads India), Karan Bedi (Head - Amazon MX Player), Aruna Daryanani (Director - Amazon MX Player), and Amogh Dusad (Head of Content - Amazon MX Player) attended the launch of the trailer of their upcoming web series, Sankalp, in Mumbai. As expected, Nana Patekar took the cake with his replies.
When asked about his debut on OTT, Nana Patekar said, “Whether it's OTT, drama, TV or cinema, it doesn’t matter to me. Kaam toh wohi karna hai. All these different labels have been given. You just need to understand the finer details of these mediums. When you understand these differences, things get easier.”
He then spoke highly of director Prakash Jha, “If you surrender yourself to Prakash, your life gets easier. Hindi is not my mother tongue. Main tooti footi Hindi mein baat karta hoon. During shooting, Prakash tells me, 'Tu kar le. Dubbing ke waqt main sudhaar lunga'. I don't know if he does the same with other actors but with me, he is present during the dubbing. He goes through each and every word and instructs me on the pronunciation. He did the same during the dubbing of Apaharan (2005) and Raajneeti (2010) as well. Even when we fight and I say some incorrect word, he would say 'Bilkul theek hai Nana lekin yeh lafz aise bolo'! That leads to another fight!”
Nana Patekar then asked Prakash Jha and the host, “Who's that baccha who does interviews for The Lallantop?” When the host replied, “Saurabh Dwivedi,” Nana continued, “Yes, Saurabh. Uski jo Hindi hai, mujhe agar waisi Hindi aati na, toh main tabahi macha deta iss industry mein! Kya kamaal ka bolta hai.”

Meanwhile, the mediapersons present were distraught as the event started two hours late. The last time Nana Patekar appeared at an event – the trailer launch of O'Romeo – he walked off due to the immense delay. Thankfully, the actor didn’t do so this time.
