Twitteratis continued to post several comments and memes about Hrithik Roshan sporting a watch in almost all scenes where they continued to joke about a blind man using a watch and understanding the time. However, filmmaker Sanjay Gupta, who was miffed with the way netizens continuously bashing his film, reportedly stated that it was appalling to see educated audience reacting like this.
Elaborating on the research, Sanjay revealed about the availability of braille watches manufactured by Indian companies especially for visually challenged people and some of them are advanced enough to tell the time just with the press of a button. Calling it ludicrous, the director was surprised to see people questioning him about what they claimed as a glaring error. On the other hand, he insisted that he has done ample research before Hrithik was asked to play the blind protagonist in the film.
Sanjay Gupta further went on to add that in fact, the braille watch plays a pivotal role in the film and that audience will understand its importance when they watch the film. But he refused to divulge any more details about it.
Kaabil, that also stars Yami Gautam, Ronit and Rohit Roy in prominent roles, is produced by Rakesh Roshan and is slated to release on January 25.
