Salman Khan advises against using steroids for body-building, warns about its adverse effects

Even at 53, Salman Khan possesses enviable fitness and flexibility. We all know that he’s a workout freak and wouldn’t give it a miss at any cost. Furthermore, he has now also ventured into production of fitness equipment. His brand Being Strong, he says, makes affordable fitness equipment which is often of the better quality than other high-end brands. Salman recently attended an event at a Being Strong store, and opened up on the quick-fix usage of steroids in body-building.

“The steroid business that is going on today is extremely harmful. Nobody should use them. Too many people have been misusing these products, which is really bad for their bodies and for them. Your liver and kidney (are damaged). I have seen people who passed away while working out at the gym, due to a heart failure. It’s not the right thing to do. It’s not a good thing to do at all,” he said.

The actor added that a body, which is a result of such drugs, are not there to last. “Protein shakes and supplements are okay, but the amount of steroids that people are in-taking these days… That can give you a good body but it will look like a body made of steroids, and not a natural body. And after that, your body doesn’t sustain for long…neither do you,” he added. Watch the video below.
