Nearly three decades after tickling audiences with their comedic performances, Aamir Khan and Salman Khan's film Andaz Apna Apna continues to be a beloved classic. While the on-screen camaraderie between the two actors is a highlight of the film, a recent revelation by their co-star Shehzad Khan sheds light on the contrasting personalities that led to occasional clashes on set. Shehzad played the role of Bhalla opposite Viju Khote's Robert.

In a conversation with Siddharth Kannan, Shehzad confirmed the long-standing rumours about the tension between the two lead actors during filming. He attributed the friction to their differing work styles: "Aamir would reach the set by 7-7:30 am, well before the call time of 9 am, whereas Salman would arrive by 10-11 am," Khan said, defending his childhood friend Salman.

He acknowledged the challenges of commuting from Bandra, where both actors resided at the time, but also pointed out Aamir's dedication to punctuality. However, he continued talking about how both actors delivered exceptional performances, making it impossible to discern the number of takes in the final product. He asserted, “The performance of both of them was up to the mark, nobody can say this is 32 takes and this is one take.”

While acknowledging the occasional disagreements, the actor clarified that there were no major confrontations between the two stars on set. "It's possible things happened behind closed doors, but I wasn't witness to any," he added. Despite the occasional tension, Khan described the overall atmosphere on set as positive and family-like. He recalled the producer providing home-cooked meals and creating a warm environment for the cast and crew.

For the unversed, Andaz Apna Apna wasn't a box-office success upon release, but it eventually achieved cult status. The 1994 release also features Raveena Tandon, Karisma Kapoor and Paresh Rawal in lead roles.
