Salim Khan shared his immense belief in fate and how it has shaped his life. Arbaaz, curious about his father's choices, asked why he and Salman were sent to boarding school during a tumultuous period.

In a conversation on Arbaaz Khan’s talk show, The Invincibles, Salim explained, “That was the only way so that there is not any problem in your education. Naturally, you guys would have been disturbed which would affect studies. But I called you both back after two years.” Discussing how he managed to keep both his families together, Salim mentioned the importance of conveying his intentions clearly. “Everyone understood that I didn’t want to leave this family and be with Helen as well. Eventually, Salma was the first to accept her, after which everyone started living happily together.”

Salim also highlighted the complexity of maintaining such relationships, noting that while many have tried to depict similar scenarios in films and real life, giving equal importance to both relationships is a challenging task. He said, “This kind of relationship has been tried in films and real life, but it’s difficult to give equal importance to both.”

Reflecting on his marriage with Salma Khan, Salim recounted their courtship and the hurdles they faced due to religious differences. He shared, “Before our courtship, I told Salma I want to meet your parents as hiding and meeting is a wrong thing. My father-in-law told me that I was a nice guy, but religion was the problem. I then told him, ‘Doctor sahib, meri aur aapki beti ke 1760 problems ho sakte hai, but religion will never be one of them.’ We then went and registered our marriage, but Salma’s father didn’t accept or visit us for 10 years. He came for the first time after Sohail was born.”

His reflections provided a deep insight into his life’s journey, emphasizing the importance of perseverance, clear intentions, and balancing personal and professional relationships.
