Actors Saif Ali Khan and Kunal Kemmu recently appeared on Soha Ali Khan’s podcast All About Her, where the trio engaged in a candid yet humorous conversation about relationships, insecurity, and the unique dynamics of being married to actresses in the film industry.

The discussion kicked off on a playful note when Soha pointed out that both Saif and Kunal are married to women who have worked in films. Kunal jokingly pretended to misunderstand her comment, quipping, “Who? I'm only married to you. Because she said it like, ... You’re also.., I was like ‘Ahh!’ Run!” Saif immediately joined the banter, responding, “Dude you’re the only one. It's too funny Yaar.” Soha laughed and replied, “Funny, funny,” to which Saif cheekily added, “Padegi Baad Mein,” prompting Kunal to agree with a quick “Haan haan,” as the two actors continued teasing Soha with the actress eventually looking at Kunal mockingly and adding, “Padegi”.
The lighthearted moment soon transitioned into a deeper conversation when Soha addressed a common perception about what it is like to be married to actresses, particularly in an industry where onscreen intimacy with co-stars is often part of the job. Reflecting on the topic, Kunal admitted that insecurity can sometimes emerge, especially during the early phase of a relationship. “It depends how long your relationship is. In the formative years, in the earlier years, yes. But then once you know each other very well and you have that comfort, then you're like...” he said. Saif agreed, adding, “Yeah, pretty much. I completely agree. And also, it depends on how people are so different. It's tricky,” highlighting how every relationship functions differently.

Curious about how couples deal with such dynamics, Soha asked whether establishing rules helps maintain boundaries. Kunal responded candidly, “I don't think rules ever work.” When Soha mentioned that some couples prefer to set limits around intimate scenes, Saif shared a humorous anecdote involving his daughter Sara Ali Khan. “It's not in every relationship that you'd say, oh, you know, today in my job I had to kiss somebody else. I did this. Sara once said, okay, let's do no kissing. We won't kiss anyone. But that's also not the way to do it. I think the deal should be no kissing off screen.”
The remark sparked laughter during the podcast, but Saif also acknowledged that relationships can sometimes bring hidden insecurities to the surface. “But you know - you do test each other and the relationship because there is a certain degree of insecurity that suddenly comes to the surface when there's got nothing to do with the other person also. It's just how you are,” he explained.
Kunal concluded the discussion by emphasizing the importance of introspection and emotional awareness in maintaining healthy relationships. “I think you have to find it within yourself. Your peace lies within you, your confusion lies within you, your envy lies within you. Yeah, your partner can say something to make you feel better, but it's going to be, like, unless and until you say exactly what I'm thinking, what I want you to say, I won't be at peace. And the other person will never know that.”
The conversation ultimately blended humour with thoughtful insights, offering listeners a glimpse into how actors navigate trust, vulnerability, and personal boundaries while balancing the realities of working in the film industry.
