The veteran film actor known as Junior Mehmood passed away on Friday after a courageous battle with cancer. Junior Mehmood, whose real name was Naeem Sayyed, succumbed to stomach cancer at 2:00 am, according to his younger son, Hasnain Sayyed. The actor had been in critical condition for the past 17 days, having experienced a drastic weight loss of 35-40 kg within a month.

Sachin Pilgaonkar, a renowned actor and childhood friend of Junior Mehmood, paid a heartfelt tribute on Instagram. Pilgaonkar shared a poignant throwback picture of himself with Jr Mehmood and expressed his sorrow, stating, “My childhood friend & coactor Jr Mehmood sadly passed away. I have so many beautiful memories with him that I will always cherish . Om shanti.”
