Zee TV’s Sa Re Ga Ma Pa is the one of the longest-running singing reality shows that has been ruling the hearts of audiences for almost three decades. While the show concentrated on experienced singers, giving an equally big platform to young singing prodigies is Sa Re Ga Ma Pa Li’l Champs and now, it is in its ninth season. With Shankar Mahadevan, Anu Malik, and Neeti Mohan as their judges who guide them and Bharti Singh as the host, the show currently has top 10 contestants competing for the trophy. And now as a treat to fans, this weekend will see veteran superstars Govinda and Jeetendra gracing the special episode of ‘The Dancing Heroes’ where the latter spoke about his co-star Sridevi.

While all the contestants gave some outstanding performances this week, it seems that contestant Rafa and Prajyot’s performance to the songs ‘Taki o Taki’ (Himmatwala - 1983) and ‘O Lal Dupatte Wali’ (Aankhen - 1993) that will make the special guests go ‘aww’. In fact, recalling the time he shot Himmatwala with the late Sridevi, Jeetendra will also revealing an interesting anecdote about the film. He mentioned, “Sridevi was a great artist. I still remember, whenever I used to rehearse with her, she would get all the steps immediately. On the other hand, I needed at least six to seven rehearsals. To make it easier for her, I used to tell her that I will practice with the choreographer, but she was so humble and kind that she insisted on doing the practice with me as many times as needed to get the steps right. That was the kind of respect she gave.”

For the unversed, Jitendra and Sridevi have acted together in almost 16 films which includes Mawaali, Tohfa, Suhagan, Ghar Sansar, and Aulad, among others besideds Himmatwala.

As for the show, Sa Re Ga Ma Pa Li’l Champs airs on Saturdays and Sundays at 9 pm on Zee TV.
