Rupali Ganguly clarifies rumours on her quitting Anupama; reveals, “I will be in the show” : Bollywood News

There is a rumour floating around that Rupali Ganguly would be quitting her star-show Anupama. However when this writer contacted Rupali this was her reply on a voice note: “नहीं सर, ये कहां से पता नहीं शाम से न्यूज चालू, ये किसने ये शुरू किया भगवान जाने। Because जिस शो ने मुझे इतना दिया है, उस शो को मैं कैसे, you know, I can leave that show। नहीं सर, आप एक जन हैं जो, you know, you would know that what makes me, what is my fabric, is gratitude. And no matter what, I mean, Anupama is the one that has given me so much, sir. (Producer) Rajan Ji gives me so much love and respect. There has to be a reason, no, sir? Why should I be, you know, until and unless Rajan Ji says that के नहीं भाई रुपाली, अब there is nothing that I have to offer you. Till he wants me in the show, I will be in the show. And that my husband Ashwin also agrees that no matter what, gratitude is the biggest thing in life. If there is no gratitude, there is, then I should not even be called a human being.”

Hopefully Rupali’s clarification would put an end to the rumours of her exit from a show that has made her a household name. In an earlier interview Rupali had said to this writer, “It’s a journey back to reality for the Indian soap. No doubt Anupama has changed my life. I am still reeling under the impact. Where is the time to feel like a queen? How do I know how much it’s been appreciated when I don’t even have time for my husband and son? Soon they won’t recognize me! But I’m not complaining. The success of Anupama was expected. The director Romesh Sir (Kalra) spares no efforts to make every episode authentic and appealing. My character speaks dresses and behaves like an ordinary housewife. Even the sarees that you see me wearing are all sootee (cotton). These details from the working class have been appreciated by the audience. They had not seen a serial about their own life for a long time.”
