Actor Mohit Malik will next be seen in Netflix’s upcoming romance-thriller series Yeh Dil Sunn Raha Hai, which also stars Zoya Afroz and Shaheer Sheikh in key roles. The series marks another step in Malik’s expanding presence across film and streaming platforms following his recent Bollywood debut with Azaad.

Malik attended Netflix’s content announcement event along with the cast, where he spoke about the project and his experience of working on the series. He described Yeh Dil Sunn Raha Hai as a departure from his previous roles, particularly in terms of its psychological and emotional demands.
Speaking about the character, Malik said, “I’m quite thrilled to be part of this series. It allows me to explore a different psychological and emotional space with this character. As an artist, you always want to be pushed out of your comfort zone and avoid repetitive roles. This is a role where I feel I can explore myself further as an actor, and it certainly raises the bar for me. The show is very close to my heart—the title itself is mysterious and intriguing. To sum it up, romance isn’t just an emotion; it can also drive conflict.”
The actor also highlighted how the genre blends emotional storytelling with elements of suspense, placing relationships at the centre of the narrative. The series is positioned as a romance-thriller, focusing on how love, desire, and emotional vulnerability can become catalysts for tension and conflict.
Yeh Dil Sunn Raha Hai is directed by Kapil Sharma and backed by a writing team comprising Nilanjana Purkayasstha, Paromita Ghosh, Pranjal Saxena, and Shashank Kunwar. The project is produced by Aditya Pittie, Samar Khan, and Herumb Khot, and is part of Netflix’s expanding slate of original Indian series.
Apart from Yeh Dil Sunn Raha Hai, Malik has a number of projects in the pipeline. He will be seen in Mirzapur: The Film, expanding the popular franchise into a feature-length format. In addition, reports suggest that the actor may be joining Force 3, the third installment of the action franchise. If confirmed, the film would see Malik in a negative role opposite John Abraham.
With a mix of streaming projects and feature films ahead, Yeh Dil Sunn Raha Hai adds to Mohit Malik’s growing body of work across formats and genres. The Netflix series is expected to premiere on the platform later this year.
