Karan Johar is a rare filmmaker who is known widely by the aam junta and whose mere name on the poster as a director can generate excitement. Hence, the buzz is immense for Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahaani, his next film as a director. The star cast is enticing, comprising Ranveer Singh, Alia Bhatt, Dharmendra, Jaya Bachchan and Shabana Azmi. Moreover, the posters of the film have grabbed eyeballs.

Bollywood Hungama got an early access to the film’s much awaited teaser, which will be released tomorrow. The 1 minute 16-second long teaser proves that Karan Johar has gone all out in terms of scale and budget to provide a wholesome cinematic experience to the viewers.

Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahaani teaser doesn’t feature a single dialogue. Instead, the song ‘Tum Kya Mile’ is played in the promo, and it gives a nice touch. The teaser packs in a lot, showing Rocky and Rani falling for each other and even their conflict. Yet, one doesn't get to know what the plot of the film is.

The text in between reads ‘Karan Johar invites you to witness the biggest entertainer of the year’. This, accompanied by the visuals, makes it clear that Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahaani is a film that is sure to attract family audiences in hordes.

Speaking of the actors, Ranveer Singh looks dashing and in his element. Alia Bhatt steals the show with her acting, extremely gorgeous looks and her wonderful sarees. Jaya Bachchan seems fiery while Shabana Azmi and Dharmendra seem to be well casted and utilized in the film.

The end of the teaser is when the impact goes on a high as Arijit Singh begins crooning ‘Tum Kya Mile’.

On the whole, Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahaani’s teaser works as it highlights the film’s strong points – ensemble cast, music, scale, grandeur and family angle. It’s also safe to say that after making films like My Name Is Khan (2010), Student Of The Year (2012) and Ae Dil Hai Mushkil (2016), Karan Johar is back to the cinema he is known for. Expect some great box office numbers on July 28, the day Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahani releases in cinemas worldwide!
