Marking the return of Karan Johar as a director after seven years, this year, on the filmmaker’s 25 years of being a part of cinema, he is all set to bring together the magnum opus romantic drama Rocky Aur Ranii Ki Prem Kahaani. The fun rom-com not only boasts of a lead cast of Ranveer Singh and Alia Bhatt but it will also feature veteran actors like Dharmendra, Shabana Azmi, and Jaya Bachchan. Recently, a source close to the film revealed how Jaya Bachchan was being motherly on the sets of the film and taking care of eveyerone’s needs.

A birdie from the set revealed, “Jaya ji was exhibiting such motherly energy on the sets of Rocky aur Rani Kii Prem Kahaani. In fact, she shares a wonderful relationship with everyone on the sets. Contrary to the perception, she made sure that not just the actors but also the technicians, and ADs felt comfortable and homely on set. The veteran actor despite her age and seniority addressed the team members with their first names.”

Readers would be aware that Karan Johar gave a sneak peek into the lives of Rocky and Rani’s families in the first look that was released on May 25. Jaya Bachchan is a part of the Randhawa Parivaar which also includes Dharmendra, Aamir Bashir, Kshitee Jog, Anjali Anand, who are a part of Ranveer Singh aka Rocky’s family. On the other hand, Alia Bhatt belongs to the Bengali Chatterjees which includes Shabana Azmi, Namit Das, along with Bengali actors like Tota Roy Choudhury and Churni Ganguly.

Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahaani also marks the return of Ranveer Singh and Alia Bhatt after their chemistry received a lot of appreciation in Gully Boy. However, we hear that in this Karan Johar directorial, there will be a lot of passionate romance between the onscreen couple. While the trailer is expected to release by the end of June, the film will release on July 28, 2023.
