After seven years, Karan Johar is back as a director. Starring Ranveer Singh and Alia Bhatt, his directorial Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahaani is creating the right kind of noise and receiving positive word of mouth from critics and audiences. The film marks his 25th year in the film industry as a filmmaker. With the film collecting Rs. 67.12 crore in the week of its release, the makers are extremely elated with the response movie is receiving in the cinemas. On Thursday, the makers hosted the success press conference for the film which was attended by Ranveer, Alia, Dharmendra, Tota Roy Chowdhury, Churni Ganguly among others. Interestingly, the film’s closing song ‘Kudmayi’ which is the wedding track, was released. Karan Johar shared an anecdote from the film related to the song and Alia Bhatt.
At the press conference, Karan Johar revealed that Alia Bhatt shot the music video for ‘Kudmayi’ four days before her actual wedding to Ranbir Kapoor. The actress was wearing the mehendi for her real wedding. It was shot in Jaisalmer and the sandstorm had caused the delay.

Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahaani is currently running in theatres. It also stars Dharmendra, Jaya Bachchan, Shabana Azmi, Tota Roy Chowdhury and Churni Ganguly. It was released in theatres on July 28, 2023.
