Veteran actor Ravi Kishan recently reminisced about his experience working alongside Salman Khan on the set of the iconic film Tere Naam. In a candid interview with Lallantop Cinema, Kishan shed light on the dynamics between him and Khan during the filming of the emotional drama.
Reflecting on Salman Khan's demeanour during the shooting of Tere Naam, Kishan acknowledged the actor's intense portrayal of the troubled character Radhe. He remarked that artists can be “moody by nature,” particularly when delving into intense roles. Consequently, Kishan made a conscious effort to give Khan space on set, recognizing the demanding nature of his character.
He said, “On the set of Tere Naam, I would give him space. That character (Radhe) was intense. That’s how Satish Kaushik ji (director) wanted it. Salman was probably lost in the character too. I would stay away from him on the set.”
Khan's personal life during the filming of Tere Naam was tumultuous, marked by legal troubles and public scrutiny stemming from a hit-and-run case and a highly publicized breakup with Aishwarya Rai. Kishan acknowledged this challenging period in Khan's life, indicating that their interactions primarily occurred off-camera, fostering a budding friendship.
Kishan further recalled, “We used to meet after pack up for dinner or something. Our friendship grew in this time. I am from Bandra, he is also from Bandra. His brother Sohail and I have been friends since childhood. He was aware of me but I was not a star then. And he was a superstar.”
Speaking of the professional front, Ravi Kishan is set to captivate audiences once again with his upcoming projects, including the film Laapataa Ladies and the Netflix series Mamla Legal Hai.
