Actor Ranvir Shorey addressed his present relationship with ex-wife Konkona Sensharma, saying that they are 'cordial' and devoted to co-parenting their son Haroon. Ranvir and Konkona married in 2010 after dating for a few years; they separated in 2015 and were officially divorced in 2020.

In an interview with Siddharth Kannan, Ranvir discussed their custody issue and stated that Haroon shares time equally between them. One of the reasons he decided to join in the reality show Bigg Boss, he stated, was that his son was going on vacation with Konkona. Ranvir denied that he ever defined himself as a 'wonderful parent but awful husband' and stated how Haroon spends his time between them. He said, “If we’re both in town, he spends one week at a time with each of us; if she’s travelling on work, then I stay with him, I’m travelling for work, she stays here.”

When asked about Haroon's satisfaction with the arrangement, Ranvir said, “He’s managed quite well… We might not have been able to give him a single loving home, but we have managed to give him a single loving neighbourhood. She lives only 100 metres down, and there’s a park between nearby, so the transition is quite seamless for him. We’ve tried our best to not make it heavy on him, the moving… It seems like one seamless move from one house to the other.”

Ranvir described his connection with Konkona as 'cordial, as a co-parent'. In the same interview, he declined to discuss if he regrets any of his previous romantic relationships. Ranvir also addressed their split on Bigg Boss, stating that their son is the primary topic of discussion between them. At a 2015 event, Ranvir told Indian Express, Ranvir had said, “There is no one to be held responsible for our separation. I would hold myself responsible for whatever has happened.”
