Helmed by Karan Johar, the film marks his 25^th year in the film industry as a director. With the film collecting Rs. 52.92 crore in the first five days of its release, the makers are happy with the response to the film. Celebrating the unabashed love from all across, Ranveer Singh took to Instagram on Wednesday to share how his maternal grandfather was celebrating the movie.

Sharing a photo with his Nana (maternal grandfather), Ranveer Singh was seen posing with him. His grandpa wore a Team Rocky t-shirt whereas Ranveer wore a ‘What Jhumka?’ sweatshirt. This was filmed last night before he went to PVR Juhu to watch the audiences’ reactions with Karan Johar and Alia Bhatt. In another video, they are dancing to ‘Jhumka Gira Re’. In the last video, his grandpa says, ‘Tikko choro tequila lao’. Ranveer captioned the post, “Nana is peak Rocky-ism! 93 and Rock(y)ing!!!”

The film stars Dharmendra, Jaya Bachchan, Shabana Azmi, Tota Roy Chowdhury and Churni Ganguly. It was released in theatres on July 28, 2023.

Meanwhile, Ranveer Singh is yet to announce his following projects but he is reportedly starring in the third instalment of Don franchise which will be a reboot. He has also signed Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s Baiju Bawra alongside Alia Bhatt. Both projects are yet to be announced.
